Kimberley ski hill shuttle back in business

BC Transit and the City of Kimberley are once again offering free winter shuttle service from Dec. 27, 2018 to April 7, 2019.

BC Transit and the City of Kimberley are once again offering free winter shuttle service from Dec. 27, 2018 to April 7, 2019.

The winter shuttle is a free transportation service between the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort, on-mountain accommodations and the downtown shops, pubs and restaurants.

The bus runs every day but make sure to pick up a schedule on board or on the BC Transit website to ensure you get to the slopes on time. Stop times vary from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with the highest frequency between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m..

Stop locations include Shoppers Drug Mart, The Platzl at Howard Street, the base of the ski hill, Dogwood Drive/Downsview Place, Purcell & Rocky Mountain Condos and Northstar Mountain Resort back to downtown.

Note that the service is not available on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, or Jan. 1.

The shuttle is jointly funded by participating businesses, the City of Kimberley, Tourism Kimberley, Kimberley Alpine Resort and BC Transit.
