Kimberley's Highland Dancers impress in Lethbridge

Students of Liela Cooper and Hali Duncan had a great showing in Lethbridge.

18 students of Liela Cooper and Hali Duncan travelled to Lethbridge this past weekend for their 35th Annual Highland Dance Competition.  They  had a fun filled day and danced away with 17 Gold, 14 Silver and 19 Bronze for a total of 50 medals.  To top if off, 4 Aggregate trophies for highest combined score were won by Isobel Betker, Holly Gale, Heidi Howe and Sarah Schieman.  All the dancers are hard at work preparing for year end show, the Spring Fling.  Come out and support your local highland dancers on Thursday May 29th at the McKim Theatre.  The evening starts at 7:00 , tickets available at the door.  Adults $8.00...children under 6 and seniors are FREE.  Refreshments will be provided by the Dance Association and the Kimberly City Bakery.  The pipe band will also be performing their  award wining set from the Kamloops Interior Band Competition...with a surprise in store for you!
