Three of Liela Cooper and Hali Duncan's congratulate a job well done at the Spring Fling last week.

Last Thursday night, McKim Auditorium was filled with bagpipes, excited dancers and very proud family members and friends as the Kimberley-Cranbrook Highland Dance Association presented their annual year end show.  The “Spring Fling” consisted of groups dances from cuteness of the wee little lassies right up to the beauty and grace of the senior and adult dancers.  There was traditional Highland Dancing as well as energetic and fun choreographies.  This year, two of Liela’s students were graduating from high school (Courtney Emann and Darynn Bednarczyk) so they each presented their own beautiful and moving solo dances.  The pipe band were their usual entertaining selves and did their rendition of the Sailor’s Hornpipe...the dance that won them first place in a band competition in May.  Refreshments were served in the intermission with an amazing and beautifully decorated cake generously provided by Kimberley City Bakery.  All the dancers work very hard throughout the year with their teachers Liela Cooper and Hali Duncan and look forward to this performance every spring!
