New president for Kimberley Chamber

Greg Bradley takes over from LIana Shaw who has moved to Kamloops

The Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce has announced that Greg Bradley will be taking the reigns as President, as Liana Shaw announced her resignation to pursue expanding her business, and will be relocating to the Kamloops area. During her nine-month term as President, Shaw focused on strengthening the Downtown Business Association which included gaining representation with merchants from Marysville. A main objective of the DBA was building a stronger Thursday night vibrancy in downtown Kimberley to coincide with the Kimberley Farmers Market. Shaw, along with the Chamber Board of Directors, continued to expand Julyfest with its growth in entertainment, children’s activities and other core events of the festival. Other successes included continuing to focus on building business networking opportunities for Chamber members with Business After Business, development of the Kimberley Ambassador program and hosting a roundtable discussion with Premier Clark with the Kimberley and District business community to voice their concerns. Mike Guarnery, Chamber Manager added “Liana’s input and enthusiasm with the Kimberley business community will be missed, and we wish her the best as she expands her business. Greg Bradley has been Vice-President for the past three years and he brings solid business experience and provides continuity to the Board as we move forward.” “I look forward to continuing with the great initiatives that Liana and the Board have put into place and building our range of member services.” added Greg Bradley. “The Business climate in Kimberley is exceptional right now and I’m excited for the role the Chamber has in building on this success.” You can get to know Greg Bradley at this Thursday’s Business After Business at Bear’s Eatery from 5 to 7 p.m.
