Children's activities were moved indoors at this year's Community Fair.

The Kimberley Community Fall Fair is always held the last weekend in September, and for many years the last weekend in September has featured sunny, warm weather.

Not this weekend. But it take more than a little rain to stop the Community Fair. Fair Committee Chair Bev Middlebrook and her team of volunteers were busy on Friday, rearranging things in order to bring all activities inside as the forecast for the weekend was for rain.

All but a few food vendors moved inside.

“We had a couple of empty booths and we were able to put the kids’ activities into them, so it actually worked out really well,” Middlebrook said.

The fair attracted its usual mix of eclectic vendors and businesses, and its usual large crowds, which means that many community groups will benefit from the proceeds.
