Kimberley RCMP received a report of a possible assault in a vehicle near Bootleg Gap Golf course in Marysville on June 1.
The suspect fled into nearby woods and the Cranbrook Police Dog section was brought to the scene and the suspect was taken into custody without incident several hours later.
The suspect is a 37-year-old male and is now facing numerous criminal charges. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
The Kimberley RCMP thanked the public and especially Bootleg Gap’s staff for their assistance in their investigation.
