Kimberley RCMP in conjunction with the Mark Creek Lions and First Saturday committee are holding a bike rodeo, Saturday June 7th as part of Marysville Daze.

The rodeo will take place from 9-11:00 am in the Marysville Fire Hall parking lot.  Although the event is primarily for riders 4-10 years old, everybody is welcome.  Police will be checking and assisting with helmet fit, there will be a bike safety check and then the riders will test their skills as they move through a series of stations. A simulated intersection will reinforce rules of the road including lane positioning and hand signals.

Participants will receive a goody bag and bike safety information from ICBC will be available.  Kootenay Mountain Works is offering a 15% discount on helmet purchases for young riders upon completion.

You are also invited to take part a family bike ride that leaves the Civic Centre (arena) at 8:30 am that will travel to Marysville via the Northstar Rails to Trails.  Once there you can enjoy a pancake breakfast before partaking in the Marysville Daze attractions and events being held throughout the weekend.
