RCR introduces Kids Wings program

Ski equipment for kids under ten can be leased each year

Most kids play at least one sport, and as any parent will tell you, it doesn’t matter what that sport is, pursuing it is expensive.

The expense starts with equipment. And the problem with kids under ten is that they are growing so quickly, you’re lucky to get one season out of equipment before it’s outgrown. Even if it’s not outgrown, technology changes so quickly, especially in sports like skiing, that equipment switches are the norm.

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, including the Kimberley Alpine Resort, are offering a new program this year where, instead of purchasing kids boots, bindings and skis/boards, parents lease them for $149 and return them at the end of the season. This is the latest in technology from Burton and Head and will insure that your kids are always skiing with the latest equipment.

Pick the equipment up at KAR at the beginning of the season and at the end of the season, simply return it to the Resort. If you want to keep it, or it’s lost or broken, you pay an extra $99.

The package includes boots, bindings and a choice of either park skis or board; or carving skis or board.
