UN/NATO Veteran Ceremony at Kimberley Veteran Memorial Park

Military Ames held a special ceremony with the UN/NATO Veterans Support Group from Calgary and Red Deer Alberta on Saturday, May 26, 2018. The ceremony was held at the Kimberley Veteran Memorial Park where the addition of two Memorial Walls and a drinking fountain were unveiled.

Military Ames held a special ceremony with the UN/NATO Veterans Support Group from Calgary and Red Deer Alberta on Saturday, May 26, 2018. The ceremony was held at the Kimberley Veteran Memorial Park where the addition of two Memorial Walls and a drinking fountain were unveiled.

The UN/NATO Veterans group consists of serving and retired veterans. Approximately 50 members mustered at the clock in the Platzl after receiving a police escort through town and parading to the park.

The ceremony included an Act of Remembrance to honour Veterans, their families and the fallen.
