We are saddened to mark the passing of our humble and

kind friend, Bob. Bob was born in Fairholm, Saskatchewan to

Robert and Helen Connochie and was raised with his sisters, Doris and Mary, as well as his brother Dick. Bob spent his early yearsliving and loving the western life – a culture he continued to enjoy through its music and magazines.

He was especially proud of once breaking a horse at the age of fourteen – a memento of this accomplishment still hung on his wall. Bob was skilled in many areas, working in construction, primarily. His other occupations included driving taxi and trucks, operating heavy machinery, and handyman for a lake house in Kelowna. He also enjoyed performing renovations and “flipping” houses.

Bob was especially fond of children, having raised four of his own – Dick, Dave, Dan, and Cheryl – not to mention seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He shared the love of family with his life-long love of forty-five years, Betty Nelson. The call of the road took Bob to such exotic locales as Australia, Thailand, and Arizona where he spent six months of the year. His new calling takes him further into the universe now, and we will miss our quiet friend until we meet again.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
