June 4, 1953 - February 16, 2021
Peacefully in her sleep, Connie passed away at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Predeceased by her father Tag (Floyd) Schacher.
Connie will be deeply missed and forever loved by her husband John, the love of her life; three sons: Greg, Joe (Rowena) and Brent; grandson Tag; her mother Marg and siblings Don (Ellen), Jim (Sheri) and Patti (Bruce); several nieces and nephews; and step children Lisa (Kent) and Jared (Kate and grandson Jack). Connie was a very genuine person with a kind, loving and generous heart. She will always be remembered for her gentle and kind nature, positive attitude - no matter what cards life dealt her. You could not ask for a better wife, step mother, daughter, nona/grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Connie was born in Kimberley, BC where she leaves behind lifelong friends.
Connie loved having coffee with friends, shopping, gardening, knitting, reading a good book and preparing meals for extended family and friends.
Our sincere appreciation for their kind and compassionate treatment to Dr. Geller and the staff at the BC Cancer Agency; and to the doctors and nurses at Oncology and Palliative Care wards of the Patient Care Centre, Royal Jubilee Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Connie's name to the BC Cancer Foundation.
In keeping with considerations of the pandemic, there will be a private family service only.
