David Chernoff, born in Vernon on February 22, 1950, raised in Robson/Castlegar, passed away peacefully in Cranbrook on Sunday, September 30, 2018 after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.
Dave is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sophie, his sons Damien and Dustin, his 4 granddaughters Parkyr, Lyla, Mischa and Blayre, his brothers Lawrence (Jodi) and Harry (Verna), brother-in- law Arch Makorto (Karen), nephews Jason and Jeremy, niece Jennifer and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Florence, his brother Jack and sister- in-law Bev, and his in-laws Nick and Ann Makorto.
Dave will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to invite all Dave's friends to share their memories and stories and celebrate his life on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Colombo Lodge in Cranbrook.
In memory of Dave, donations can be made to the Oncology Department of the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
