It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dennis who passed away suddenly on July 9th, 2021 in Kimberley, BC surrounded by his wife Kathy and a close circle of friends while playing in nature.
Dennis was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Erica and Victor Bathory. He grew up in Calgary with his siblings John and Marion. Dennis will be remembered as a most loving and adventurous husband to Kathy and father to Stephen (Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory), Drew (Blake Mackay) and Lauren (Tracy Bathory).
He is grandpapa to Akutaq, Igimaq, Naja, Sawyer and Elsie. He will also be missed by Susan (Bill Pickett), Liza Pelzer, Bruce Kloepfer and his nieces and nephews (Dylan, Sara, Anali, Sarah, Blair, Emily, Meg, Sam) as well as Debbie Farrell and family.
Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure and creativity. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and colleagues both in Calgary and in Kimberley, BC where he shared his time and life.
Dennis is predeceased by his father Victor, Eric Weinberger (Marion) and Sherry Bathory (John).
