With deep sorrow, the family of Joan Stepney announce her passing on the evening of August 14th at the age of 70.
Joan was born in Winnipeg, she then moved to Vancouver at the young age of 20 where she met her future husband Gary in 1968 and they were married in 1969. They then moved to Cranbrook in 1974 where they have lived for the past 44 years raising their son Cory.
Joan's passion in life was her beautiful grandchildren, golfing and spending the past 15 years winter vacationing in California with her beloved husband Gary. Joan was a very loving and carrying person that would always welcome anyone into her home and into her family.
She will be remembered and cherished by her loving husband Gary, son Cory, daughter-in- law Christy, grandchildren Addison and Jax, her older brother Rick, wife Linda and daughter Krista in Saskatoon and her younger brother Alan, wife Lee Anne, son Devin and daughter Jenny in Winnipeg, and by her extend family and friends.
The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, September 8th at the Cranbrook Golf Course between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
