June 30, 1922 - July 17, 2018
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Elsie Fisher (nee Stuart) passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC, July 17, 2018.

Elsie was born in Manchester, England on June 30, 1922. With her parents and older brother, George, she immigrated to Marysville, BC at age two. Elsie loved her new country and grew to be a proud and loyal Canadian, often proclaiming it to be the best country in the world. She embraced all the good the beautiful community had to offer. In her younger years she loved playing softball and swimming, loved going to the community dances, was an avid downhill skier and a competitive tennis player.

Elsie's love of the outdoors continued throughout her life. Camping and hiking was a regular family weekend activity. When the children had grown, Elsie and Stan continued hiking with many of their close friends. Elsie enjoyed her involvement with the United Church and it's many activities.

Elsie had a great sense of humour, an amazing amount of energy, and a strong sense of loyalty and love for friends and family. Her family will miss her love, unwavering support, laughter, and stories. May she now be at rest with the love of her life, Stan.

Elsie is survived by her loving family, son Grant (Laurie) and daughter Janet. Grandchildren Brian, Kim (Taylor), Lisa, Katie, and Maureen (Bennett), as well as great granddaughters Sophie and Blake.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kimberley Cominco Gardens or The Salvation Army.

An Interment Service for Elsie will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 1 pm at the Kimberley Columbaria.
