September 15, 2018
After a brief courageous battle with cancer, Emily Mae Beauchamp passed away peacefully on September 15, 2018 with loved ones by her side. Survived by her sons Gray (Victoria) of Denver, Colorado, Tye of Nelson, BC; grandson Adden and his mother Loula Fauad of Toronto, Ont.; brothers Danny (Donna) Ringheim of Cranbrook BC, Henry (Sharon) Ringheim of Invermere, BC; her partner Dan Calles of Kimberley, BC; and many other loving relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Eric Louis Beauchamp and parents Olwyn (James) and Myles Ringheim.

Born and raised in Kimberley, BC, attended school in Kimberley and her final grade 12 year was in Sandpoint Idaho and then went to Notre Dame University on an athletic scholarship with the Canadian National Ski Team. Emily was married in Nelson to Eric where they raised their two boys. She loved spending time at the cabin at Kootenay Lake, skiing, golfing, hiking, travelling and entertaining friends. She was always the life of the party and everyone loved having her around.

Emily was as super Mum, grandma, devoted daughter and a loving partner. She had a generous heart and will be remembered as always helping others. You may have received a card in the mail, a meal she prepared, a present or a telephone call to wish you well.

Generous with her time, she volunteered endlessly in the community. She was a founder of the Nelson Friends of the Family which raised money and helped families dealing with illness and injury to get care and assistance. She served on the executive of the Ernie Gare Scholarship program and impacted numerous young golfers through her years of service in the BC Junior Golf Program. Later in life she spent time between her "homes" in Nelson, Kimberley, and Arizona and travelling in her fancy new motorhome.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Nelson Friends of the Family Foundation #204, 518 Lake Street, Nelson BC, V1L 4C6.

A celebration of life will be held at the Catholic Church Hall, 502 Church Street, Kimberley, BC, Saturday September 29th at 2:00 pm.
