Nov 24, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Boulton announce her passing on Friday, November 24, 2017. Frances was born in Davis, SK and was raised in Winnipeg, MB. After she received her degree in Home Economics from the University of Manitoba she left for BC where she taught in the lower mainland for several years. After marrying Phil, a police officer, they moved to Fort Nelson where she fell in love with the north. Then came many transfers throughout BC, the last one being Cranbrook.

Mom was a recipient of the RCMP's 'Second Man' award. It was awarded to spouses who made a significant contribution to their spouses' workplace.

Mom taught at Mount Baker High School for 15 years and after retiring Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling and especially their cabin at Moyie Lake where they hosted many family members and friends. She loved to garden and swim at the lake which she continued to do in the Cranbrook pool into her 90s. After Dad's passing Mom moved into Joseph Creek Village where she kept busy volunteering, reading and listening to her music. She especially loved visits from her many family members and friends.

Frances leaves behind her children, Susan (Larry) Belzac, Peter (Ann) Boulton, Greg (Dorothy) Boulton, grandchildren Steve (Sue) Belzac, Brent (Lisa) Belzac, Janet (Mike) Bigelow, Marsha (Zack) Samuhseneeto, Hannah Boulton, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff of the Kimberley Special Care Home "The Pines", the staff of Joseph Creek Care Village and Dr. R. Dawson.

As per mother's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers you may donate to your favourite charity.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
