A life well-lived as a husband, father, Poppa, educator, gardener, and friend. Frank was born in the old Cranbrook Hospital, and died in the new one.

Frank is survived by his wife (of 65 years) Sibell, sons Ian, Craig, son-in-law Gary, garage buddy, John N., grandchildren Ben (Amie), Ashlin, Jeffrey, Lindsey (Brendan), Riley, Naomi, and Cameron. A brother Don (Betsy), sister Elina (Wally), cousins Darleen, Sherrill, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Bob and daughter Kim.

Frank's love of children led him to a teaching/principal career. In 1984 he retired from Watkins Elementary Principalship. He graduated from UBC in education, and he earned a Master's degree from Gonzaga University. His passion for gardening is well known at Wasa, where he lived the last 33 years.

Frank requested no service, flowers, donations, gifts, only a gathering of family and friends at a later date.

"A kiss of the sun for pardon,

The song of the birds for mirth,

One is nearer God's heart in the garden,

Than anywhere else on Earth."
