Grace Kathleen Campbell

October 8, 1925 – April 2, 2017

Grace, our Mom, and Grandmother, was a strong and feisty woman all her life, even to the age of 91 plus years. She was born in October 1925, in Lennoxville, Quebec where she had a very interesting life. She was able to work and spend time with her father who had many different jobs in the town; one of which was taking the mail from the train station to and from the post office each day. She enjoyed many special times like this and had lots of memories she could share with anyone who would listen. She met and fell in love with a special man with whom she would spend 52 years of her life.

Grace and Lynwood “Mickey” worked hard together during their married years, building a home together for their family and when the children came, she turned her attentions to the family they raised together and the new stage of life they were entering. She was always a busy lady and loved to have her friends and family come to visit and was always glad to care for the grandchildren.

She was always willing to help people when problem situations arose and was not afraid to go beyond what was expected of her.

Mom faced many challenges during her life - winning some and losing some. She fought a good fight with this cancer monster, but in the end it was just too much for her.

Left to mourn her passing is her seven children: Bill Campbell of Sparwood, BC; Bev Campbell of Cranbrook, BC; Barb (Cliff) Blakey of Cranbrook, BC; Brenda (Bruce) Boyd of Barrie, Ontario; Bonnie

(Robin) Warren of Shelbourne, Ontario; Betty Anne Campbell of Brampton, Ontario and Belinda (Dennis) Pedersen of Barrie, Ontario. She had 14 grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Mickey, her son Bruce; her two brothers Herb and Albert Pratt and her two sisters Rita Deadman and Audrey Pratt.

A Celebration of Life for Grace will be held on Friday, April 7th, 2017 at 10:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home (1885 - Warren Avenue) in Kimberley, BC, V1A 1R9.
