It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our Dad/Grampa. Jorgen was a master trade Carpenter, which he started learning at age 14. He later went to Greenland for work and that’s where he met his wife Sofie. They moved to Canada in 1957 along with their lifelong friends to find work and Canada became home. He had a strong circle of friends, neighbors and family and he never hesitated to help anyone when called upon. He was honest, loyal, kind and generous. He also had a great sense of humour. His love for his family was immense. His workshop was his haven. Fishing and camping and fixing things were his favorite pass times. He was a wrestling fanatic, especially Stampede wresting in the 70’s. You couldn’t drag him away from the TV when it was on. It was even noticed that he was watching wrestling a couple of days before he passed. Much love and respect to you Dad, you were a fine man and you will be missed by many!

Jorgen is survived by his brothers and sister in Denmark, Jens Juul, Poul, Birgit, Karl (Karen), sons Ivan (Sue), Torben (Colleen), step-son Otto (Dana), grandchildren Cody, Dayna, Rylee, Adam, Aviaja and Ivik. Jorgen will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Carla and Juul Andersen, brother Torben, sisters Ellen and Grethe, brother–in-law Tommy, sister-in-law Gerda, step-son Art, daughter Henrietta and loving wife Sofie.

Jorgen was cared for very well at The Pines and we send our heartfelt thanks to all staff there! A family service will be held later in the year.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
