On Saturday, March 31, 2018, a bright and sunny day, our much loved wife, mom, grandmother and friend Linda passed away peacefully in her home in Cranbrook, after a lengthy and hard fought battle with cancer. She was 76.
Linda was born on September 13, 1941, to Louise and Alexander Laas. Her children and grandchildren were a great pride of her life. The legacy of her kind spirit, love of nature and all things beautiful will live on through them.
Linda had a zest for life that has touched many! Linda leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Terry Damant of 48 years; her daughter Zoe Damant (Les) and their children David (Alana Rush) and Lucas; her son Travis Damant (Ersula) and their children Kallee, Tucker, Baylee and Bree; her son Marc Damant (Angela) and her son Tim Damant (Cara Sagert). Linda also leaves behind many relatives and friends who loved her deeply. She was predeceased by her parents Louise Marie and Alexander Laas and her sister Louise Marie.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Eagles Hall in Cranbrook (711 - Kootenay Street North) with a reception to follow. Everyone is welcome to share stories and thoughts or just join in this special time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
