It is with great sadness that the Little family announce the passing of Doreen Little.
Doreen was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She worked for BC Tel as an operator before marrying Len Little and moving to Kimberley, BC. In 1950. Doreen was a homemaker, avid reader, and volunteered at the Kimberley Public Library for over 25 years. Her love of baking and bread making was always greatly appreciated by her family, friends, and the United Church bazaars.
Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Ellen Loutit, her older siblings – 3 sisters, two brothers, and her son Rob in 2016.
Doreen is survived by her husband of 69 years- Len, daughters Linda Little, Heather Herman (Bill), and son Craig Little (Katherine), daughter-in-law Anne Little, 5 grand children and several great-grand children.
No service will be held at Doreen’s request. If you would like to donate on Doreen’s behalf, please donate to either the Kimberley Public Library, or the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kathryn Lefevbre, all the nurses and caregivers on the third floor who provided exceptional care for Doreen for the past three months at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
