In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our wonderful, Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Sister, Lois Gruenig on May 26 2024 in Cranbrook, BC.
Lois passed at her home surrounded by family and close friends.
Lois was born in Grande Prairie, AB in 1936 to Ruth and John Reynolds. The family farmed in the Eaglesham area of Alberta. She later moved to Grande Prairie and met the love of her life, Art Gruenig. After several moves and 4 children, the 2 moved to Cranbrook in 1990. Lois loved to Bird with the Rocky Mountain Naturalists with her favorite being Humming Birds.
She is survived by Darrel, Sherry, Steve, Sandy, Duane, Alexa and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Art, son Allen and grandchild Andrew.
A funeral service for Lois will be on June 15,2024 at 11:00am at McPherson Funeral home. A live stream will be available for those that can't attend.
Donations can be made to the Lung Association of Canada, the Rocky Mountain Naturalists or a charity of your choice.
