It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Peggy Thompson with her family at her side on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Cranbrook.E Peggy was born in Yorkton, SK on June 11, 1937. She moved to Cranbrook with her family when she was 31/2 years of age, where she went to school. She met and married the love of her life Glen; they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on July 28, 2017 last year.
Peggy is predeceased by her infant daughter Ann, brother Chuck, parents Charlie and Alice Sleith, Bruce and Mae Laurie and her grandfa- ther Ernie Carswell.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband Glen, her children Tim (Mary), Debby, Terry (Wanda), her grandchildren Daryl (Natalie), Matthew, Chad, Alicia, Ashley, Sydney and her great granddaughter Evangeline. Peggy also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Jim (Judy), Emily (Allan), Sally (Murray), Gwen (Barry), Dave and Dint.
A funeral service for Peggy will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the: Canadian Cancer Society, #202, 105 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, BC, V1C 2M1.
