Margareth Ann Bekke of Cranbrook passed away at East Kootenay Regional Hospital with her two children at her side on Monday, October 31, 2016.

Margareth was born in Timmins, Ontario. She grew up in Norway, where she had her two children, then moved back to Canada

in 1969 residing in North Vancouver, and then later moving to the Valley in 1981.

Margareth enjoyed swimming, walking, playing bingo and watching tennis - her favorite player was Rafael Nadal. She

had an infectious laugh. Margareth loved people, birds, and animals, and was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball

team. She was also a world traveler.

Margareth is survived by her son Erik (Janice) Loberg, her daughter Toril (Dale) Wilder, her 4 grandchildren Tamara, Justine, Corbin and Makayla, her niece Ingrid Bekke, her sister-in-law Patricia Bekke and by numerous family in

Norway. She was ready to be re-united with her dog Fonzie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in the spring of 2017.

The family would like to thank all the staff at East Kootenay Regional Hospital, and the Home Health Care for all their love and care shown to their mother.
