Mark Delbert Best, 64, Passed away peacefully Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Columbia View Lodge in Trail following a hard fought battle with Cancer.
Mark leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Linda Best; a beloved father Mark leaves behind his son Chad (Pearl), his son Brandon, his step-sons Chuck (Jennifer), Roy and Jamie; and a large handful of grandchildren, Mateo, Brooklyn, Kyra, Maella, Evia, and Kayson; and the rest of his family and friends whom he has touched over the years.
Mark is preceded in death by his brother Bobby, his Mother Hazel and Father Delbert.
Born in Kamloops BC, and adopted at an early age by Hazel and Delbert Best of Salmo, Mark spent the majority of his life in the East Kootenays. Later he would move on to Cranbrook where he would touch the hearts of many people and spent many years chasing gold and had some success running a small placer mine with some life-long friends in Cranbrook, eventually ending up in Salmo where he reunited with Linda, and spend the rest of his days with her in Trail, where many a day was spent in the sun watching his hummingbirds with a lip full of Copenhagen.
A celebration of life will be held in Trail at the Tunnel pub on October 22, 2016
