September 14, 1926 - January 21, 2019
Born and raised in Kimberley, BC, Mary joined the Women's Army Corp during World War 2. Mary then spent many years working in Nelson, BC with a long stint at the Kootenay Lake District Hospital.

After marriage to Norman Glen, Mary returned to Kimberley where she reconnected to that community and was active in quilting, bowling, cross- country skiing and various service clubs. Following Norman's passing, Mary returned to Nelson and was a long- time resident of the Kiwanis Villa, living independently until her passing.

A prolific quilter, Mary's works form a web which tie together her extended family. Hers was a loving heart not able to sustain any longer.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Norman and two sons Peter Winkelaar of Penticton and Steve May of Nelson. She is survived by her eldest son, Jim May of Bonnington, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family, including her special friend Lorraine May.

The family is grateful for the respectful care Mary received from home support staff, Drs. MacIntyre and Laverty, and staff from Nelson and Trail hospitals.

No service at Mary's request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
