October 14, 1949 - June 28, 2020
With great sadness we announce the passing of Michael (Mick) Wilson at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC after complications from heart surgery.
Born in Estevan, SK October 14, 1949 his family later moved to Burnaby, BC in 1963. In 1971 Mick moved to Kimberley, BC to play hockey with the Dynamiters and in 1972 married his high school sweetheart Marilyn.
He worked for Cominco for 28 years and then Robert's Mechanical in Alberta until his retirement in 2013. After over 40 wonderful years in Kimberley they moved to Sooke, BC to
be closer to family.
Mick lived a full life, was an avid fisherman and hunter, a Kimberley Minor Hockey coach for 16 years and most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn (of 48 yrs), son Rob (Carolyn), son Terry (Sandy), grandsons Aiden, Kieran and Nolan, mother Norma, sister Susan, brother Barry, brother in law Dale, sister in law Debbie, nieces and nephews and many special friends. Predeceased by his father Walter, brothers Marvin and Keith, mother in law Gerry and sister in law Betty.
There will be no service by his request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kimberley Minor Hockey or Sooke Minor Hockey.
