January 14, 1935 - May 21, 2025
In loving memory ~
Sadly, Keith passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2025 at The Heights at Mount View in Victoria, B. C. surrounded by his loving wife, Carole and both daughters, Deanna here in Victoria and Janice who had flown in two days earlier.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Bea Simpson of Kimberley and his brother Eanes in his 18th year. Also brother-in-law Sam Aikins 2006, Frank Aikins 2023 and Joan (Aikins) Smallenberg in 2024.
In 1997 we moved back to Cranbrook for a few years to enjoy the many pleasures of living in the East Kootenay; the Rocky Mountains and the Purcells, the many recreational activities, skiing and hiking and golfing and all the Lakes and Rivers that run through that beautiful part of British Columbia.
We loved our place in Terra Lee by Joseph's Creek and our neighbours, Harvey and Irene. We also enjoyed reconnecting with highschool friends and family like Lorna and Mary Lou.
We also had the extreme pleasure of spending time with our nephews Brent and Derek and Chris and all three of the children as they arrived on the scene. A delight to spend time with all of them camping and sharing in their activities of which there were many. And such a pleasure to see Kendall, Trennon and Heather all achieve their goals as they travel this road called Life.
Keith loved his Life. Loved his family and lived Life to the fullest. Always curious, with a variety of hobbies (beekeeping!!). Keith was well informed, travelled extensively and loved good food. However, one of his greatest pleasures was drifting around beautiful Premier Lake in his Golden Bear boat with a fishing rod in his hand looking forward to some smoked trout and a cool one sitting by the fire telling one of his stories... of which there were many.
Thank you to all those who shared in his friendship. He was a good friend. Rest in Peace dear Keith.
