It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. Olive was affectionately known to family and friends as Ollie. She recently passed away in Burnaby.

Ollie was born in 1929 to Margaret and Hugh Brock. She completed her schooling in Cranbrook and moved to Victoria to pursue a career in education. As a teacher she taught in Waldo, Elko, Cranbrook, Trail and at the Sacred Heart School in Ladner.

Olive married Mac Gordon and together they had five children. Mac predeceased her while the family was living in Tsawwassen.

Many happy times were enjoyed by Ollie, her family and friends at Mac's Shack on Rosen Lake, where the welcome mat was always out. Ollie loved to play cards and was a long-time member of a bridge club. She loved children. Her children, grandchildren, and students brought much joy and happiness to her life.

Surviving Ollie are her children Jim (Alice), BJ, Kay (Harold), Pat (Julius), and Sean (Mika); her grandchildren Jeremy, Hugh, Clare, Sarah, and Grace; her loving sister Grace Gill of Cranbrook, nieces Beaven and Susan and nephews Bob, John and Glen.

Her love for her family was immeasurable and she will be deeply missed.

"Always remembered, always loved."
