Robert Keith Dolighan December 12, 1932 - November 13, 2016

The family of Robert Keith Dolighan, are saddened to announce his sudden passing at the age of 83.

Bob was born in Edmonton, to parents Eric and Audrey, and was the older brother to sisters Karen and Judy. He moved to Kimberley in 1951, hoping to play hockey with the Kimberley Dynamiters. Instead, he found his future bride, Bev Sigalet, whom he wed in 1952. Bob became the proud father of six children, Patti, Randy, Rob, Mike, Kevin and Tracey. He loved the great outdoors, and his many great adventures. He was also a talented athlete, who enjoyed many sports throughout his lifetime. Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband and father, and became the adored grandfather to 14 grandchildren. "Poppa Bob" was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, and took a keen interest in their busy lives. Although they were scattered around the country, they always kept in touch. Bob also had many friends, both young and old. He was proud of his Irish Heritage, and always enjoyed a good sing along, complete with Ukulele and spoons. He loved a good story, adventure, or prank. He treated everyone with respect and consideration, and got the same in return. He will be deeply missed.

Please join us for a Celebration of Bob's Life, at the Kimberley Convention Center, on Friday, November 25th, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to one of Bob's favourite local charities; The East Kootenay S.P.C.A. or the Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank Society.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
