January 30, 1952 - November 9, 2018
It is with great sorrow that the family of Ron Munro announces his passing on Friday, November 9, 2018 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at the age of 66 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born on January 30, 1952 in Kimberley, and raised there. He lived in Ta Ta Creek for many years before residing in Cranbrook.

Ron went to work for Cominco in 1973. He started as a labourer and then took his apprenticeship as a Steamfitter/Pipefitter then after an accident he became the Lead Hand in the Rehab Shop.

Ron loved his Saturday morning shift curling league as well as the Jr. and Sr. Dynamiter hockey leagues. He loved camping and fishing; later on, his main passion was woodworking - spending many hours of the day in his shop making many unique coffee tables and clocks.

Ron leaves to mourn his loving wife of 45 years Debbie, his oldest son Corey and his wife Tanya and his granddaughter Makayla; his youngest son Jason (Denise); his mother-in-law Edna Gold; his sister-in-law Linda Gold and niece Dana; brother-in-law Allan Gold; sister Susan Koshman and her husband Robert and niece Jodinne; as well as his uncle and aunt Carl and Pat Kahl and several cousins.

Ron was predeceased by his father-in-law Art Gold, his father Jock Munro and his nephew Tyler Koshman. At Ron's request, there will be no service.
