February 21, 1932 – June 25, 2018
Roy Johnson, a long-time Yahk resident, passed away at the age of 86.
Roy is survived by Minnie, his partner for over 30 years, along with his daughters Lorna, Lynda, Karen, and Donna and their mother Joyce. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters Stephanie and Anita and 8 great grandchildren.
Roy had various jobs before driving school bus in Yahk for 23 years. He liked fishing and visiting with family and friends, swapping stories and playing cards. He particularly enjoyed talking about local history, Fisher Peak and anything relating to railroads!
Roy’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Commitment to Care for their excellent home support as well the caring staff at both Columbia Garden Care Village in Invermere and the FW Green Home. His daughters also thanks the empathetic staff at the Sandman Inn.
Saturday, October 13 at Yahk Hall 1 – 4 pm Yahk / Creston time. (Slide show starting shortly after 1.) The family of Roy, former bus driver and long time Yahk resident invite you to join them in remembering Roy and sharing memories. Refreshments will be served.
