It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vera Carlson announces the passing of their beloved mother, Nanny and Baba Vera Carlson.
Mom passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook on Friday, January 25, 2019. She struggled with serious health issues in her senior years but always had an incredible resilient attitude.
Mom missed her active lifestyle she had shared with her husband Ernie of 74 years, who predeceased her this past summer. She had always loved their RV trips, fishing and golfing together.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nash, whom mother was very fond of, and for the excellent care that he provided to her. We would also like to thank all the other doctors and nurses at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital who gave her such wonderful care. Special thanks to Dr. Aleam and Dr. Duncan of Vancouver.
Our family would also like to thank the Garden View management and staff for their compassionate care.
A private family service was held in Kimberley.
