Feb 6, 1931 - Nov 24, 2017
After almost 87 years as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, psychologist, teacher, avid reader, beekeeper and gardener, Walt's gone fishing. Which is just fine, because he loved fishing. That love was born and grew in the creeks and rivers around Kimberly, BC, and Marvel Lake, AB.

Walter's father, Alfred, was a miner in the Sullivan Mine and his mother, Mary, took wonderful care of Alfred, Walter, and Walter's younger sister, Isabel.

After high school, Walter moved from Kimberly to Calgary, where he met Nancy Ozar at a dance at Penley's Dancing Academy. They were married August 14, 1954. Two children and many years later, Walter, Nancy, Karen and Warren moved to Red Deer where Walter taught Psychology at Red Deer College for 25 years.

Walter was predeceased by his sister Isabel and his parents, Mary and Alfred.

Surviving Walter are his wife Nancy, daughter Karen Williamson (Peter), his son Warren (Susan), as well as his granddaughter, Emily Morrow-Fick, and his nephew, Bill Nance.

In honour of Walter's wish, there will be no funeral.
