Feb 28, 1939 - Jan 14, 2018
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, brother, uncle, grandpa, soon to be great grandpa, friend and husband at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook on Sunday, January 14, 2018 with his family by his side at 78 years of age.

Willard leaves to mourn his passing his wife Shirley of 55 years, his son Kirk (Sandy), daughter JoAnn (Kevin), grandson Brad (Kristen), granddaughter Jehna, sister Barlette (Ray), extended family, granddaughter Crystal (Tilo), twins Sienna and Faye, grandson Richard, many nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.

Willard was born in Paddockwood, SK in the First Red Cross Outpost Hospital in the British Empire on February 28, 1939. Willard worked in road construction in Saskatchewan for many years. In 1971 he moved his family to Sparwood, BC to start work at Finning Tractor. He was with Finning for 25 years.

After retirement he kept busy installing underground sprinklers and setting up modular homes. He loved walking in the Cranbrook Community Forest with his dog, golfing, fishing, hunting and camping. His workshop was a favourite place for him to hang out while making furniture for his family and friends. His yard was very important to him and kept him busy tending his garden, raspberries and strawberries.

Willard was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Winnifred Turley, his niece Valerie and his sister Alva Jean.

Willard leaves a big hole in our hearts and will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Willard's life will be held in the summer of 2018 in his backyard that he loved so

much.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cranbrook Auxiliary Thrift Shop in his honour.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
