Cranbrook and District Arts Council is gearing up to celebrate Canada’s big birthday for 2017.  12 months of exhibits with a Canada theme have been prepared, beginning January 10th with an exhibit titled, ‘Exploring the Third Dimension’

Cranbrook Community Theatre is pleased to present “The Weir” as their second core production this season. Written by Conor McPherson, “The Weir” weaves haunting stories of local Irish lore and the supernatural, all set in a rural Irish pub. Director Terry Miller has gathered a talented local cast and crew to bring this stirring tale to The Stage Door, Cranbrook. The play runs February 1-4, 2017. Tickets at Lotus Books.

Rockies Film Series

Rockies Film Series next film Little Men is screening at the Key City Theatre on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 7:00 pm.  Thank you to Marysville Views for your sponsorship. The latest from Ira Sachs (Love is Strange, Keep the Lights On). Little Men is a subtle, intelligent, and deeply moving looking at community, family and friendships.  It’s easily one of the richest and most beautiful films of the year. Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary, Rockies Film Series and Festival

Landfill Harmonic is opening our 20th Anniversary Rockies Film Festival at the Key City Theatre on Wednesday, March 1st with a Wine & Cheese starting at 6:00 pm, a presentation by the Cranbrook Violin club before the show followed by this great film at 7 pm.  All proceeds from this evening will go directly back to the Hands in Harmony Music park project.
