Good results in Invermere for North Star skaters

The North Star Skating Club attended The East Kootenay Invitational in Invermere on January 15-17, 2016.  It was a large competition that included skaters from Calgary and Whitefish.

We had four Jumpstarts attend:  In the Star 1 event: Sailor received a Silver ribbon, Mya and Julia received a bronze ribbon and Ryan came in 4th.

In Star 2; there were four juniors who attended:  In Star 2- Adrian received a Bronze ribbon; Kana receive a Silver ribbon, and she received a silver medal in Intro elements.

In Star 3 - Charlize and Kyla both received a bronze ribbon in Star 3 and both placed  4th  in Intro elements.

There were five Senior StarSkaters that attended: Zoe received a Bronze medal in Senior Bronze freeskate and a Silver medal in Elements 2 and  placed 5th  in Silver interpretive;  Emily receive a Silver medal in Star 5, placed 6th in Elements 2 and Silver interpretive; Hannah placed 7th in Star 5, 8th in Bronze interpretive & 5th in elements 2; Sydney placed 6th in Senior Bronze freeskate and 5 in Bronze interpretive;  Bianca received silver medal in Elements 3, placed 4th in Juvenile freeskate and Gold Interpretive.  The next Competition is in Beaver Valley (Fruitvale) The Kootenay Region Championships, on February 12-14, 2016.  The Skaters are preparing for this, as well as the NSSC Annual Ice Show, which takes place at 7 p.m. February 20th, 2016 at the Civic Centre.  It will be another fantastic event.
