Will you brave the splash pond on Saturday?

Any one who has ever spent a little time at Spring Splash at Kimberley Alpine Resort can tell you that it is time well-spent. What better way to celebrate the end of a ski season than to cheer on those brave enough to take on the splash pond? Especially when you throw in great live music and sunshine.

The official schedule for Spring Splash is now  out, so go ahead and plan your weekend.

Those who are actually going to take on the splash pond must register between 9 and 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. Head to the tent in the plaza to do so.

A barbecue and beer gardens, Kids’ Treasure Hunt, open volleyball, free face-paintiing and fishing pond.

The Snow Volleyball Tournament begins at 11:30 and live music featuring local band Sketch starts at noon.

At 2:15 p.m. the splash event begins, followed by prizes and event awards at 4:45 p.m.

Bend Sinister takes over the music at 5 p.m. in the Stemwinder, followed by another set by Sketch at 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday the same schedule applies but switch the splash pond for the Dummy Downhill. That takes place at 3 p.m. There’s also an egg hunt included in the morning kid activities. Oak Republic gets the music started at noon, followed by Rolla Olak at 4:30 p.m. That will be followed by a DJ in the plaza at 7 p.m.
