The Kimberley Nordic Racers had another fantastic weekend of racing at the Alberta Championships in Canmore, dominating the Juvenile Girls category. Sydney Wilson and Marielle Ackermann walked away with multiple medals as they were on the podium for all events! MacKenzie McLean also had great results placing fourth in her Junior Girls category in her two races. The relay team of Annika Ackermann, Marielle Ackermann and Sydney Wilson also won first place overall against all other clubs in Alberta — the local organizers stated that they never before awarded the gold medal to a non-Albertan team. These excellent results bode well for the upcoming National Championship competitions in Canmore starting just 10 days from now.
