Nitro Express win tournament in Penticton

The Kimberley Nitro Xpress brought home the Gold medal from the Midget Tournament held in Penticton last weekend. Going into the Gold medal game in first place with two wins and a tie, they faced off against Kamloops, whom they had tied 3-3 in round robin play.

The Kimberley Nitro Xpress brought home the Gold medal from the Midget Tournament held in Penticton last weekend. Going into the Gold medal game in first place with two wins and a tie, they faced off against Kamloops, whom they had tied 3-3 in round robin play.

The tough and resilient squad of 10 girls pulled out a 2-1 game to win the tournament. Previous games in the tournament were 5-2 win over Penticton, 3-3 tie with Kamloops and an 8-0 win over North Shore Winter Club.

The Nitro Xpress have had a successful season so far with an overall record of 9-11-2, playing in Great Falls, Montana, Detroit, Michigan and Coquitlam, BC as well as a number of home games. You can follow the team on Instagram @ gonitroxpress.
