The Nitros are had a big weekend, posting two wins over the Columbia Valley Rockies and Golden Rockets.
On Saturday, the Nitros headed up to Invermere, and rode an early lead all the way to a 6-3 win over the Rockies.
Dylan Sibbald and Jared Marchi led the way, each with a pair of goals while goaltender Jeremy Mousseau picked up the win with 23 saves.
Jerome Thorne scored first for Columbia Valley late in the opening period, but Sibbald responded with 24 seconds on the clock to make it even going into the middle frame.
Jared Marchi posted a powerplay goal and Sibbald got his second of the game in the second period for a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes.
The Nitros then scored three unanswered goals in the final frame, on efforts from Bryce Nielsen, Marchi and Brandon Becker before the Rockies responded.
Logan Kerner and Ryan Henderson both tallied powerplay goals in the final 10 minutes of the game, but that would not be enough for the Rockies.
The Nitros made Rockies goaltender Brody Nelson work in defeat, posting 41 shots on the Columbia Valley netminder.
The Dynamiters scored one goal in five powerplay chances, while the Rockies drew blood twice in eight opportunities with the man-advantage.
Kimberley hosted the Rockets the night before, pulling ahead scoring twice in the second and third period after a 1-1 draw to end the opening frame.
Golden put themselves on the board first, scoring on an early goal from Bowen Alcock before Tyson Klingspohn responded before the halfway mark of the frame on a powerplay goal.
Sibbald put the Nitros ahead in the second period on another powerplay goal and Brady Revie made it a two-goal cushion with just under six minutes remaining.
Bryce Perpelitz and Marchi both scored in the third period to seal it up for the Dynamiters.
Kimberley was good for two goals in three powerplay opportunities, while the penalty kill shut out the Rockets on two of their chances with the man-advantage.
Mousseau picked up the win with 19 saves while Brian Parsons made 37 stops in a losing cause for the Rockets.
Next action for the Dynamiters is a midweek contest with the Creston Valley Thunder Cats at the Kimberley Civic Centre on Wednesday.
